Press release

Gosselies, Belgium, 5 February 2019, 8pm CET – BONE THERAPEUTICS (Euronext Brussels and Paris: BOTHE), the bone cell therapy company addressing high unmet medical needs in orthopaedics and bone diseases, today announces that the Company will present preclinical results on the potential of Company’s allogeneic cell therapy platform to stimulate bone formation and bone repair at the Annual Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS), in Austin (Texas), USA.

The Annual ORS Meeting is the yearly summit organised by the international Orthopaedic Research Society to advance musculoskeletal research and is attended by scientists, clinicians and entrepreneurs in the field. In the poster presentation, Bone Therapeutics will highlight preclinical in vitro and in vivo results demonstrating the potent osteogenic capacity of its allogeneic bone cell therapy platform to promote direct bone-formation by recapitulating endochondral ossification and to improve fracture healing in relevant models. The results showed that the allogeneic bone-cell therapy product would be a potential promising clinical candidate for improving impaired fracture healing such as delayed-union and non-union fractures.

Poster Details:

Poster Title: An injectable cell therapy product derived from human bone marrow MSC enhances bone repair by promoting bone formation from host and donor cells through intramembranous and endochondral ossification mechanisms
Category: Bone
Poster number: 1599
Date: 2-5 February 2019
Location: Solar Atrium at the Austin Convention Center, Austin, Texas, USA

About Bone Therapeutics

Bone Therapeutics is a leading cell therapy company addressing high unmet needs in orthopaedics and bone diseases. Based in Gosselies, Belgium, the Company has a broad, diversified portfolio of bone cell therapy products in clinical development across a number of disease areas targeting markets with large unmet medical needs and limited innovation.

Bone Therapeutics’ technology is based on a unique, proprietary approach to bone regeneration, which turns undifferentiated stem cells into bone-forming cells. These cells can be administered via a minimally invasive procedure, avoiding the need for invasive surgery.

The Company’s primary clinical focus is ALLOB, an allogeneic “off-the-shelf” cell therapy platform derived from stem cells of healthy donors, which is in Phase II studies for the treatment of delayed-union fractures and spinal fusion. In addition, the Company also has JTA-004, a viscosupplement in development for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.

Bone Therapeutics’ cell therapy products are manufactured to the highest GMP standards and are protected by a rich IP estate covering nine patent families. Further information is available at: www.bonetherapeutics.com.
